look, if you cannot be in public barefaced without being self-conscious & feeling like shit, then your decision to wear makeup is not a choice freely made
what cis ppl in general will never understand is that casual, slight, vague transphobia still fuckin hurts. transphobic subtext hurts. CISNORMATIVITY hurts.
it’s the TINIEST things, like not having the option to choose your gender identity when signing up for something. when people joke about gender and it revolves around genitals. seeing everything, everywhere, pandering to cis gender roles. maybe there’s no ill intention behind this stuff. maybe they aren’t actually against trans people. but it still normalizes a generally cisgender society, and every time i come across it, it’s a reminder that we DO live in that society. and it hurts.
this is a post for trans people, about trans people, whether straight or not! don’t change it into anything else! cis people can reblog but don’t say shit!
“If they wanted to make [x character] trans they would have made it obvious!!!”
I’m very curious as to what “obviously trans” means to these cis people that get so angry about trans headcanons. Like….do you have one set idea of what a trans person should look like and anyone else just……doesn’t exist??? If they don’t have massive scars on their chest or a pronounced jaw line or whatever “”obvious trans traits”” do you think that there’s no way for them to be trans?
And then there’s always the “I’m not transphobic, trans people are fine, I just hate all these headcanons right in my face” as if trans people aren’t having cissexism shoved in their face 24/7. You can’t enjoy a character if they’re trans but you think you’re a trans ally? I have to laugh
(its even better when your trans headcanons get ridiculed by horny cis people who can’t imagine being attracted to a trans person because all trans men have vaginas and all trans women have penises right???? 🤪🤪 prosthetics/bottom surgery who???? Not gendering body parts where????)
I wrote this tutorial because so many binder tutorials out there are kinda…. hacky and I’ve made quite a few replicas of GC2B binders for myself and they’ve worked out real great. If you’re desperate for a cheap but well made binder and you have time and a sewing machine, this tutorial is for you.
Feel free to share this anywhere, make your own adjustments to it, make a youtube video out of it, idgaf. I may make updates to this tutorial in the future if people are running into problems with the instructions which I am happy to clarify.
Alrighty good luck on your binder making adventures and stay safe.
So this little kid donated a book to the library a couple weeks ago.
They’ve been coming into the library every so often to look proudly at their book on display and tell anyone who’ll listen about how they donated THAT book, it has a sticker the librarian had them pick out that they got to sign their name on in the inside cover and everything!!!! (I saw them once excitedly insist a high schooler grab the book and open it to see the sticker, much to the high schooler’s amusement, lol).
Today they came into the library to ask me where their book was, ‘cause they’d looked around the past little while and couldn’t find it anywhere.
“Ah, that’s ‘cause it’s out right now,” I explained.
Their jaw dropped and their eyes went wide, “It’s out?!”
“Yep! It’s not here because it’s at somebody’s house right now.”
“AT THEIR HOUSE?!”
They started practically vibrating in excitement.
“Yep!”
“Like, for real?”
“Uh huh.” I grinned, “It’s the second time it’s been taken out too.”
“TWICE?! It’s been taken out TWICE already?! Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!!!!”
Something tells me that’s all they’ll be talking about tonight at dinner. lol
this is so pure
